How the six relations work
Six Harmony (六合)
Six Harmony (六合): the 'secret friend' bond — six pairs of branches that combine and support each other. The most favorable pairing relation.
Trine (三合)
Trine (三合): three branches forming an elemental alliance (e.g. Monkey–Rat–Dragon → Water). Natural teammates with shared momentum.
Same Sign (比和)
Same sign (比和): two of the same branch — instant understanding, but strengths and blind spots double up.
Clash (六冲)
Clash (六冲): branches 180° apart with opposing instincts. The most challenging relation — friction, but also strong mutual awareness.
Punishment (相刑)
