Da Yun: Start Age and Luck Years
A chart is fixed. Da Yun is what moves.
Your Da Yun does not begin at birth. It starts at an age counted from the distance between your birth and the nearest solar term, then advances one pillar every ten years. Which direction it runs depends on your year stem and gender. The calculator works out the start age, all eight cycles, and overlays the current luck year on top.

Does the calculator cost anything? Do I need an account?
No and no. Fill it in and the chart appears, as many times as you like. An account only affects whether charts are saved and whether you can use the subscription features.
What if I do not know my birth hours?
It still works. Year, month and day pillars are certain; the hour pillar is marked uncertain and anything that depends on it widens its language rather than inventing a value.
How is this different from a star sign?
A star sign divides people twelve ways. A BaZi chart divides by the four pillars of the moment you were born, so overlap is far rarer. More to the point, every line here can be traced back to a source.
Is the chart accurate for southern hemisphere births?
Yes. Seasons are reversed and whether to flip the month pillar is disputed, so we default to not flipping and give you a switch plus a side-by-side comparison.
What is a Day Master and why does it matter?
The Day Master is the Heavenly Stem of your Day Pillar — the character that stands for you. Its strength decides which elements are favourable, which in turn drives the Da Yun and luck year readings.
