The major updates to BaZiFlow, all in one place — new tools, experience improvements, and how far we’ve come since launch.
The BaZi love and wealth pages now offer a full written report for 100 credits: how to read your year-by-year line, the high and low points of past years to check against your own experience, and the stretch ahead. One unlock covers that chart for good, and the credits are returned if the report cannot be written. Years up to this one stay free to view.
Two new BaZi pages read your chart for one theme at a time: love (the Spouse Palace and partner stars) and wealth (wealth stars and Day Master strength), each with a year-by-year curve. Enter your birth details on the page, or import a saved chart. You can open them from Explore in the BaZi workspace.
Draw tarot cards in English, Japanese and Chinese: single cards and spreads, with original card art and a record of each draw you can verify later. Find it under Divination in the menu and at the bottom of the other divination pages.
Each year inside a Luck Pillar now carries one of four tags: Initiate change, Push steadily, Build quietly, or Many shifts, steady first. A line under the year lists the stem, branch and clash or punishment behind it. The tag is worked out by a fixed rule from your computed chart, with no AI model involved, so the same chart and year always give the same tag. It describes how likely change is to arrive, not which action to take, and it does not predict illness, accidents, marriage or money. This year and next year open after a free sign-in; later years open with the full unlock.
The free synastry result now starts with key points about the two charts, each tied to the pillars behind it, instead of opening on structure charts. The usefulness vote also sits right after the free answer instead of next to the paywall. Some visitors see a shorter version of the free result, one conclusion with its own evidence, while we compare the two layouts.
When a source breaks the pattern in a Zi Wei chart, the status line now uses the page language for the star and transformation names instead of showing the raw Chinese star name or the Chinese word for Transformation to Taboo (化忌). And when you ask the 钦天监 a lifetime question such as achievements, money or career over a whole life, it now reads your full chart instead of treating the question as a single year and claiming no four pillars were supplied.
When none of the hidden stems of your birth month appears on the visible stems, the chart now reads its pattern from the month branch’s main hidden stem for the Rat, Rabbit, Rooster, Horse, Tiger, Monkey, Snake and Pig months, instead of leaving it undetermined, and the chart page marks it as taken from the month’s main hidden stem. Charts that also show a stem of the same element in the opposite polarity, charts where the month’s main hidden stem is a Companion or Rob Wealth star, charts where the month branch is pulled into a full combination of another element, and the Ox, Dragon, Goat and Dog months stay undetermined. Your favorable and unfavorable elements do not change. Reports you already saved are not rewritten, so their pattern wording can differ from the chart header.
A friend you invite now has 7 days after signing up to build a first chart from their own birth details (it was 60 days) for the 50-credit reward to start. The 72-hour check and the extra 100 credits when the friend pays are unchanged, and the payment still has to come within 60 days of sign-up.
When you ask the Court Astronomer whether a partner will appear or when you will marry within a given period, the answer can now end by pointing you to the “When will I marry?” tool, which lays out the relationship windows year by year. The pointer is left out when you ask for no links.
When your questions keep asking about the person whose chart you selected, and a follow-up says “the person” or “they”, the Court Astronomer now keeps reading that chart instead of treating the follow-up as being about someone else. A follow-up that brings in a new person, such as a friend or a parent, is still treated as about that person.
Long answers are now split into shorter paragraphs at sentence ends, lines are narrower, and there is more space between paragraphs, so a long answer no longer reads as one block. The wording itself is unchanged.
A new Qi Men Dun Jia page casts an hour chart or a day chart for the time you enter, read in the time zone you choose, and compares two time windows or dates by what actually changes on the board, listing up to three distinct board states. It is an experimental version: the method has not been independently verified, and the page has no AI reading, saving or sharing and gives no advice or recommendation. Dates from 2024-01-01 to 2030-12-31 are supported. You will find it under Divination.
On the marriage-timing, date-selection and divination pages, “Ask about this result” opens the Court Astronomer with that result recalculated under the same conditions, so you do not retype them. When a question is better answered by a tool, such as the luck-cycle or annual-forecast pages, the Court Astronomer may offer a card that opens it, or runs a free one for you. A question only about another person, whose chart you have not entered, now gets a short notice instead of a reading built on your own chart, and simple definition questions are answered faster.
The invite rewards page now describes two steps. When a friend you invited builds a first chart from their own birth details (the sample chart does not count) and passes a 72-hour check, you both earn 50 credits. If that friend later makes a payment, you earn 100 more, and the unused part is taken back if the payment is refunded or disputed. Rewards are released only once you have a chart of your own that is not the sample, and monthly limits apply.
Ten new articles join the knowledge library: reading a whole astrology chart in order, aspect patterns, verifying birth data, the six Sukuyō relationship groups, Zi Wei star brightness and palace-stem transformations, recording a tarot draw, relationship questions in tarot, the limits of trigram imagery, and how Luck Pillars, Zi Wei decades and transits differ.
Two new pages explain how BaZiFlow calculates a chart and what you can check yourself: a methods page with the checks we ran against the engine, and an author page. There is also a sample natal report for a synthetic chart. Every chapter shows its review status: none of them has passed the automatic review yet, and each is published on the owner’s authorization and labelled as such.
The year and month pillars and the start of luck cycles are now decided against the birth moment in Beijing time, because that is how the calendar library states solar-term instants. For births entered on a clock outside UTC+8 (Tokyo, London, New York and so on), the luck-cycle start date now moves by a few days up to about two months depending on the time zone, and a birth within hours of a solar term could also get a different month or year pillar. Births entered on China Standard Time clock time are unchanged, except that charts using local mean or true solar time (applied automatically in western China) may also see the start date move. Saved charts keep the pillars they were saved with. Daylight saving is still not applied automatically: if you were born during daylight saving time, subtract one hour before entering the time.
The extra “I checked the birth time” tick on the two-person BaZi comparison form is gone. A fresh form starts with the birth time marked unknown; turn that off and enter the time to use an exact hour. The date and birthplace are still required.
Ten new articles join the knowledge library across several systems, including BaZi, astrology, tarot, Sukuyō, Zi Wei and Mei Hua. Thirty earlier articles were re-reviewed with clearer wording.
Zi Wei Dou Shu reports requested in Japanese could come out with Chinese body text. Newly generated reports now follow the report language. We also removed a stray “Length:” line that could show up in English reports.
The past comparison now shows every year from age 16 up to last year, for everyone and without signing in. If you are under 22 it starts at age 10, and ages 10–15 are marked as not suitable instead of showing a score. This year unlocks free once you sign in; the years after it stay in the full reading. On the chart you can hover a year to preview it, click to pick it, step with the previous and next buttons or the arrow keys, and drag sideways when there are many years. The explanation now sits under the chart and follows the year you point at.
Under a BaZi answer you can choose “Add to my profile” to keep a short, non-sensitive fact or an answer preference, for example how you want answers written. Nothing is collected on its own: an entry exists only when you type it or tap to save it. The Court Astronomer considers saved entries when a related topic comes up, and you can edit or delete them any time in My profile. If you correct something in a question, the Court Astronomer gives your correction priority. The privacy policy and terms now describe this.
Signed-in readers get the first chapter of the report for one chart per day without spending credits. On the Zi Wei Dou Shu page, a sign-in card now sits right under your chart, on phones a slim bar follows you down the page, and signing in with Google brings you back to the same chart. The other chapters and the full set still use credits as before.
The new Almanac page looks up the suitable and avoid entries of the Chinese almanac for a date in Beijing civil time. Pick what you are planning and it shows only the entries that directly name that activity; it never blends them into a score, and an activity that is not listed is not read as suitable. It also lists up to three nearby dates in the next 14 days to compare, lets you set two or three dates side by side for the same activity, and can add a plan to your calendar. Japanese calendar notes appear separately. The almanac is also linked from the home page, the navigation and the Today page.
Cast a Plum Blossom hexagram: choose the matter first, then see the original, mutual and changed hexagrams, the Body and Use relation, and the passage the classic gives for that matter. All 64 hexagrams have their own pages in four languages, and signed-in readers can keep their casts in a private history. The sidebar now has a Divination menu that holds Xiao Liu Ren and Meihua. The results follow a stated convention and are for reflection, not a verdict.
Enter a birth date and the new Sukuyō page works out your lunar mansion from the old calendar, then shows what each of the 27 mansions means, how two mansions relate, and a 27-by-27 quick-reference table. Every mansion also has its own page. Available in English, Japanese and both Chinese scripts.
If you do not know the birth hour, the new Birth-time check page uses what family remembers (the sky, mealtimes, routines) to rule hours out, then orders what is left with life experiences and shows the top three with relative scores from 0 to 100. The calculation runs in your browser and your recollections and results are not saved automatically; it asks nothing about medical or labour details. A score is a ranking of candidates, not proof of the hour. It is linked from the chart page, the result notes about a missing hour, and Zi Wei compatibility.
The rough time-of-day choice is replaced by a single “I don’t know the birth hour” row on every birth form, and the date and time field is easier to fill in. The import button for your saved chart now appears only when you have a saved chart.
Fifteen new guides are published in four languages: four on BaZi, two on Western astrology, two on tarot, two on Sukuyō, and five on Meihua Yishu, including how a hexagram is cast and read.
In the unlock window, the membership tab now has a collapsible list of how many credits each kind of unlock costs, so you can check without leaving the page. The numbers match the pricing page.
The two-person comparison now shows how the two charts’ pillars relate (harmony, clash, punishment, harm) and the years each person’s luck pillar changes. These are structural correspondences between the charts, not a verdict on the relationship. Three new pages cover mothers- and daughters-in-law, business partners, and parents and children; each opens the same comparison form with the relationship already chosen. Invitation links now record the sender’s consent, the sender can withdraw a link from the invitation list on the device where it was created, and anyone who opens a withdrawn or expired link sees a plain notice instead of any details. Links not completed within 30 days expire.
If you first signed up with an email link or code, signing in with a Google account on the same address now takes you into that same account, with your charts, reports and credits, instead of stopping with an error. This works when Google reports the address as verified. Accounts created with LINE stay separate and are never joined by email.
When one of the two birth times is unknown, the compatibility result shown before sign-in and the paid-reading card now say up front that chapters depending on the hour, such as element reciprocity and the annual comparison, will be brief or left out, so the paid reading will be noticeably shorter, and suggest adding the time first to get all 18 chapters. In newly generated readings, those chapters now say plainly that this evidence was not computed because a birth time is unknown, instead of filling the space with general text.
A timing question with a linked second part, such as “When will I get married, or at least meet my partner?”, could fall back to a general reply saying no chart data had been provided. The second part now shares the time frame of the first, so the answer draws on your chart and luck periods as usual.
Subscribing again to a membership you already hold used to show a short English error. It now explains in your language that you already have this plan and will not be charged again, with a link that opens subscription management on the pricing page, where you can check the renewal date and settings.
On Traditional Chinese pages, calendar words such as 月曆, 舊曆 and 曆書 now use 曆, while words about experience such as 經歷 and 學歷 keep 歷. The automatic conversion used to write 歷 for both.
The new Almanac page shows today’s entry and this month’s calendar, and every day has its own page. Each day lists what the traditional almanac marks as suitable or best avoided (by the twelve day officers), the Chinese lunar date and stem-branch pillars, the day’s clash and lunar mansion, and Japan’s old-calendar date with Rokuyo and lucky days such as Tenshanichi and Ichiryumanbai-bi. Month pages gather that month’s Japanese lucky days. You can jump to any date, copy a day’s entries to paste into an AI chat, or go on to the Date Selection tool to pick days for your own chart. These are calendar facts computed by fixed rules, not personal predictions.
Signed-in readers on the free tier now get one free Court Astronomer question per day instead of one per week. After the free question is used you can still ask more with credits, and members’ allowances are unchanged.
Japanese city names, and prefecture plus city entries such as 滋賀県長浜市, are now recognised in the birth forms, including the one on the homepage. If you type a birthplace but submit without choosing it from the list, the matching places now appear under the field, and the “Confirm date & time • Next” button on the date wheel is now a solid, easier-to-see button. Some smaller cities, towns and villages may still need a nearby city.
On the Compatibility, Timing and Life Song tools, and on the quick birth input of the Luck, Annual and Life Curve tools, readers who already have a saved chart now see a one-tap button that fills the form with it; it only reads the chart you already saved. Links from a result page that open another tool with your chart attached now fill it in and show the result right away on the Luck, Annual, Timing, Life Song and Date Selection tools.
Charts that use local mean time (for example births in Tibet or Xinjiang) now move to the previous or next day when the local time crosses midnight, and no longer fail for certain birth minutes. Charts entered with a lunar date now take the birth time into account for the year and month pillars on days when a solar term falls. Charts you have already saved keep their pillars.
In the Japanese date-selection view, the six-day rokuyo cycle is now worked out from Japan's old calendar (new moons are dated in Tokyo time). In some months, such as the old-calendar month starting on 11 October 2026, every day's rokuyo had been shown one position off; those days now match the published calendars.
The homepage birth form now has labelled fields, required markers, and short notes on why gender and birthplace are asked. “I don’t know my birth time” is a single always-visible row that says which pillars are unaffected and which become reference-only. Focus moves on to the next unfilled field as you finish each one, and until the page is ready the date field says it is still loading and keeps what you tapped or typed.
The curve now sits on the first screen and walks through your life by itself; you can pause, replay, or drag along it. A “this year” panel shows the year pillar, the ten-year stage, where the year sits against your own average, four dimension bars, and the change from last year, so you can compare past years with what you actually lived. Future years show only the pillar, stage, and numbers — never an above-or-below verdict.
On the compatibility result, a sign-in entry now appears right under the five dimension scores, with a sticky bar on mobile that steps aside while a sign-in button is already in view. In marriage timing, the past-eight-years sign-in entry is now a full-width button. Zi Wei compatibility needs both birth hours: when one is missing, it now says whose is missing, why the score needs it, and links to BaZi compatibility, which works without a known time.
At the end of your personal BaZi overview, signed-in readers now see a card that shows whether this week’s free Court Astronomer question is still available. Tapping it makes that chart the active one and opens the question page; it only prefills, and nothing is sent until you submit.
For Luck Cycle, Annual, Life Melody vocal songs, and the Western annual forecast, signed-out visitors and non-members now see the cash price only, while members see Drops first and cash as the second option. The Western annual forecast can now be bought once for $29.90. Life Melody cash purchases now count toward a per-account allowance that works across charts, and the Luck and Annual lock screens list your other unlocked charts.
On the Western annual and transit pages, a report you had already unlocked could appear as not owned after refreshing the page. The pages now look up your purchase the same way the unlock step does, so the report you bought stays open.
The result page lists the tools that read the corrected time — BaZi chart, Zi Wei, Life Curve, and Life Simulator — instead of a single chart button. If a city search finds nothing, you can enter the longitude manually; an empty or invalid time now focuses the field and explains the problem beside the submit button.
A new AI-generated content rules page explains how generated readings and songs are produced and what to keep in mind when using them, linked from the footer. Delivered songs now carry an AI notice, and the Privacy Policy and Terms were updated to match.
Compatibility scores now come from a recalibrated model, so typical pairs land near the middle and high scores are less common. When one birth time is unknown, the result shows an honest range across the possible hours instead of a dash. A free portrait is written from the pair’s own signals, and the scores and portrait are visible before sign-in; the calculation basis, evidence list, and detail tabs stay behind sign-in.
Birth input now reads Japanese era dates such as Showa, Heisei, and Reiwa (including “first year” and short forms like S63.5.1) and shows the converted year. In the birth-time field, a visible three-way choice — I know it, roughly, or not sure — replaces the small unknown-time switch. “Roughly” records one of seven time bands but never turns it into a made-up exact time.
New accounts see the credit option on the paywalls they most often reach, including the single BaZi chapter, with the balance and any shortfall shown against the cheapest unit. The welcome message now opens with what the sign-up credits can buy for the tool you came in through, and is upfront about what they do not cover — for example, the Luck Cycle report is cash-only. Prices and credit amounts are unchanged.
The Luck page now opens with a trend chart and a timeline that combines each luck cycle with its years. What needs sign-in and what needs payment are marked as separate layers, and birth input uses the same shared birth card as the Annual and Life Curve tools.
The BaZi overview no longer begins with a typewriter-style templated opening, and it no longer offers hypothetical “if this happened” scenarios.
The homepage first screen now holds the full birth form — date and time, gender, and birthplace — and submits straight to your BaZi chart, instead of sending you to a separate page first. The one-line and step-by-step input modes remain one tap away.
Privacy, About, Contact, DMCA, and the commercial-transactions notice now have Simplified and Traditional Chinese versions, and their navigation and “last updated” dates follow the language you are reading in. Payment and refund wording now reflects that Stripe is the only payment method, and the site name shown on page titles is BaZiFlow.
Consultation answers now begin with a direct reply — saying plainly what the chart cannot tell you, then what it can — and then go through the layers that apply, from the natal chart to the current luck cycle, year, and month, with a next step to try when one fits. A placeholder link that could appear in an answer was removed: answers now mention a link only when a real destination exists. Follow-up suggestions also reach you reliably now.
The annual score now uses the same calendar-year score the Luck Cycle report shows for that year, instead of averaging twelve monthly scores that pulled every chart toward the middle. Domain strengths are judged on one basis across all five areas, and month notes no longer repeat the same natal sentence.
The share card on the BaZi result page is expanded again, so sharing is one tap away, and the classic black-gold template is now the default. Share nicknames for the Ten Gods were rewritten as positive persona names in all four languages.
BaZi overview delivery has additional checks for incomplete text and stalled recovery. Feedback now carries a more precise reference to the report version being read, helping distinguish an older saved answer from a newer one. These delivery fixes do not mean every remaining interpretation-quality issue has been resolved.
Birth input has gained date and time wheel controls, clearer guidance when quick input cannot be recognized, and better preservation of details when switching input modes. On the BaZi entry form, the input-mode switch and true solar time option now appear before the submit button so you can review them first.
Recent additions include Goat–Goat, Goat–Rooster, Monkey–Monkey, Monkey–Dog, Snake–Dog, and Dog–Pig, followed by Monkey–Rooster and Dog–Dog. Each pairing is available in English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.
The initial chart-sharing image is now rendered with the page, instead of waiting for the interactive controls to finish loading. This reduces the blank first view when opening the sharing interface.
Explanation requests now handle long source references more reliably and retain more of the original passage’s subject, time frame, and meaning. Reopening a completed explanation can pick up its saved correction without generating another answer or consuming another allowance. Broader interpretation-quality checks remain ongoing.
Fixed the section configuration used to generate and restore Zi Wei luck reports, so the final section is included in the reading flow. This addresses the missing-section path; it does not mean every previously saved report has been rewritten.
Relationship readings have expanded across Zi Wei, Western astrology, and Fusion, with multilingual compatibility, two-person chart, and timing experiences. Free previews, example reports, and visual summaries make it easier to see what a tool covers before choosing a full report; access requirements remain specific to each tool.
Anonymous visits use more cached and pre-rendered page content, while the initial BaZi page loads less calendar code. This reduces work needed to show the entry page; report-generation time still depends on the reading request.
Report recovery now covers anonymous previews and more transport interruptions, with automatic reconnection and clearer failure reasons. Text already received is kept available while recovery is attempted; an interrupted report is not presented as a finished reading.
Some older gifted memberships were incorrectly sent a reminder suggesting an upcoming charge. Those gifts do not renew with a charge. The reminder service now recognizes these older gifts and skips renewal reminders for gifted memberships.
Zi Wei readings now save the final report text, and Traditional Chinese output passes through the shared character conversion. This improves consistency when returning to a reading; previously saved reports may still need individual corrections.
BaZi, Zi Wei, Western astrology, and Fusion pages now defer more sections until they are needed. Navigation progress and loading states have also been refined to make moving between tools easier to follow.
BaZi overview and consultation delivery now separate essential checks from deeper background review. Available text can continue to be read without waiting for that review; an unfinished or unavailable review is not labeled as passed. Known factual conflicts and incomplete text still need handling.
Sign-in pages and panels now check which login methods are available at runtime. This reduces cases where a valid sign-in option was missing because the page relied on build-time settings.
Relationship tools now offer clearer example-report entry points and a more consistent input flow, including an unknown birth-time option. Saved details are preserved when visiting examples and returning. Unlock options remain separate from the reading preview, with the applicable paid scope shown at the report entry.
On September 8, conflicting and overly strict review checks caused some BaZi reports to stall or take several minutes to deliver a section. We rolled back the blocking review-and-rewrite stage for the overview and restored progressive reading, while retaining chart-fact constraints. Incomplete reports are no longer treated as finished, and interrupted reading preserves available text for recovery. This addresses delivery problems, not every remaining content-quality issue.
Saved birth locations are restored more reliably across tools, and switching between quick input and the step-by-step form better preserves entered details. Sign-in return handling has also been improved, including legacy report links that now lead to the BaZi reading page.
New Day Pillar guides cover Wu Wu, Ji Wei, Geng Shen, and Xin You. Earthly Branch guides add Goat, Monkey, Rooster, and Dog; compatibility guides add Rabbit–Goat, Rat–Pig, Rabbit–Pig, and Rat–Dog.
BaZi results now use a unified reading layout. Preview your personal overview before signing in, then sign in to continue the full first chapter for free. The second chapter, the natal chart explanation, is also free after sign-in and uses no credits. Paid chapters begin with chapter three; the entire report is not free.
Term and passage explanations now cover more BaZi, Zi Wei, and Western astrology readings. Reviews check that an explanation adds meaning, stays grounded in the selected passage and chart, and does not simply echo the original answer.
Birth-time correction now gives priority to the birthplace time zone and verified city coordinates. This fixes cases where profiles outside China could fall back to the wrong standard meridian and shift the hour pillar when used in readings.
Guide pages now use pre-rendered content, while shared page data and repeated requests have been reduced. Narrow-screen layouts, mobile inputs, navigation drawers, and report progress checks have also been refined.
The rewards page brings daily claims, useful-feedback rewards, genuine sharing, and referrals together. You can check reward credits and upcoming expiry; eligible members can also see daily credits and Drops. Reviewed submissions are subject to the published rules, not automatic rewards.
Explore Jia Yin, Yi Mao, Bing Chen, and Ding Si in the Day Pillar library. New Rat–Snake, Ox–Rooster, Rat–Rooster, and Ox–Ox guides bring the compatibility library to 34 pairings.
New Ox and Tiger Earthly Branch guides and Rat–Rat and Rat–Tiger compatibility guides join the library. Guide pages now keep a chart shortcut within reach, so you can move directly from learning a concept to checking it in your own chart. Altogether, the compatibility library now covers 30 pairings.
BaZi Ask, Cast, and relationship readings now check strength, yin and yang, timing evidence, and internal consistency more strictly. Unsupported details are repaired, shortened, or turned into a clarifying question instead of being filled with a generic story.
Canceling checkout is now labeled as canceled, and a success screen verifies the checkout session before saying that payment or Credits were received. If confirmation is still pending, you can check again without starting another purchase.
Annual readings now show the shape of all twelve months, accept the same quick birth input used elsewhere, and keep preparing an unlocked report in the background with a visible status. A decision-first view is also rolling out in the 10-Year Luck Calculator alongside the professional explorer.
When you are signed in, a chart cast on the public BaZi page now saves automatically and becomes the current chart for Ask, Cast, and other tools. Long readings also remember the heading and position where you stopped across BaZi, Zi Wei, Western astrology, and Fusion.
BaZi results now open with a personal, rule-derived conclusion and the chart evidence behind it, before leading you to the deeper chapters. Sign in from a preview and you return to the same reading spot. You can also create privacy-minded share cards for BaZi, Zi Wei, Western astrology, and cross-system readings. Your exact birth time and place stay off the image.
BaZi, Zi Wei Dou Shu, Western astrology, and cross-system comparison now live in one workspace, with a persistent system switcher and shared birth details. The Japanese experience has also moved into the same FatumFlow site, so charts and saved readings stay together.
New Clarity memberships can call on 300 Credits each day when a reading needs them. If that day’s grant is not used, it becomes Drops instead — a 30-day balance reserved for Luck Cycle, Annual, and Life Melody readings. Credits and Drops stay separate, so the balance always shows what each one can open.
You can now stop a BaZi report while it is preparing, writing, or reconnecting. If a paid chapter has not been delivered, its credits are returned and the unfinished unlock is removed automatically — so stopping does not leave you with a charge and no reading.
Annual readings, compatibility, Life Melody, Life Curve, Life Simulator, and synastry now use the same verified birthplace picker. This lets true solar time correct charts that would otherwise shift to the wrong hour pillar — especially in western China and locations far from a time-zone meridian.
You can now cast a free Zi Wei chart, read its deterministic foundations, explore today, the year and major life periods, and ask questions from the same chart. A new cross-system reading then compares BaZi and Zi Wei evidence — showing where they agree, where they differ, and what each system can actually support.
