What "timing" can and cannot mean here
This page does not predict a wedding date. What it can do is say which years put pressure on the Spouse palace of your chart, and why — which is a much smaller claim, and one you can check against your own past.
Four things activate it. The branch of the year can harmonise with, or oppose, the branch your Spouse palace sits on. The stem of the year turns four stars into transformations, and one of them may land on a star sitting in that palace. The ten-year decade may itself be running across the Spouse palace. And the year may land on the palace holding your Peach Blossom stars.
Opposition counts as activation, not as bad news. A year that opposes the Spouse palace pushes the relationship situation to move — coming together and coming apart are both movement, and the chart does not distinguish. Anyone telling you it does is adding something that is not there.

- Will this tell me the year I get married?
- No, and be careful with anything that claims to. It tells you which years activate the Spouse palace of your chart and which signal did it. What you do inside an activated year is not in the chart.
- Why is an opposition year scored positively?
- Because opposition is movement. The chart marks that the relationship position gets pushed; it does not say in which direction. Scoring it as bad would be inventing information.
- Do I need my birth hour?
- It matters more here than in BaZi. The Spouse palace position depends on the whole palace layout, which is fixed by lunar month and hour together. Without the hour the result is marked directional.
