Zi Wei Dou Shu — purple star astrology — reads a life through twelve palaces and the stars that fall into them. That is a lot of structure, and it is exactly the kind of structure people get lost in: you can know that Tan Lang sits in your Career palace and still have no idea what that is supposed to mean for the decision in front of you.

Where it stops
It will explain why a palace reads the way it does, how a transformation changes a star you thought you understood, and why the same star can be read generously in one chart and harshly in another. It will not name dates, medical outcomes or other people, because your chart does not contain them.
It also keeps the terminology honest: stars are called by their proper names rather than translated into invented English labels, with the meaning explained in plain words next to them. Renaming Zi Wei to something friendlier makes the first read easier and every later read impossible, because nothing you look up elsewhere will match.

- Do I need a chart first?
- Yes. The answers are drawn from your palaces and stars, so a chart has to exist. Building one is free and needs a birth date and, ideally, an hour — the hour is what decides where the Life palace lands.
- What if I do not know my birth hour?
- You can still chart, but say so on the page. Without an hour the palace layout is not fixed, and the Court Astronomer will keep its answers to the parts that survive that uncertainty rather than pretending the layout is settled.
- How is this different from the BaZi version?
- Different evidence entirely. BaZi reasons from stems, branches and Ten Gods; Zi Wei Dou Shu reasons from palaces, stars and transformations. Both pages exist because both systems answer, and they do not always answer the same way.
