Name and sky
The name means the wings of a bird. The mansion lies around the constellation Crater and holds a comparatively large number of stars among the twenty-eight mansions, pictured as the spread wings of the Vermilion Bird of the south. On the ring it follows Extended Net (张) and precedes Chariot (轸).
A symbolic reading
In this symbolic reading, Wings (翼) is often portrayed as a far-sighted mansion. It is described as curious about distant places, other cultures and unfamiliar fields, yet willing to spend years refining a single craft until it holds up. Symbolic sketches give it an orderly way of working and a strong regard for reputation and trust; once a direction is chosen, the effort tends to be sustained. This reading adds that it rarely pushes to the front of a crowd, but gains weight in situations that call for travel, pioneering or long-term building, earning standing slowly rather than quickly.
Constructive themes
- Its name evokes wings opening outward, so this reading links this mansion with reaching beyond familiar ground, especially in work that crosses regions or disciplines.
- Because it counts many stars among the twenty-eight mansions, it is often read as able to hold many resources and details together at once.
Tendencies to keep in view
- Wings need room to spread; symbolic readings suggest watching for a tendency to let nearby routines and close companions slip while the gaze is fixed far ahead.
- Its neighbor Extended Net (张) also carries an image of spreading open, so a tendency worth noticing is stretching plans wide and finishing them slowly.
Key points for Wings (翼)
These readings are written for this site from the mansion's symbolism. They are not quotations from classical texts and not personality facts proven by star positions; treat them as hypotheses to test against your own experience.
Wings (翼) spreads over Crater like a bird opening toward far horizons, with a long view, an orderly manner and standing that arrives slowly but lasts.
Way of working
Travel, pioneering and long-term building fit the picture, especially work that crosses regions or disciplines. Years may go into one craft until it holds. The check is whether the gaze stays tied to a concrete next deliverable.
Relationship pattern
Not one to push to the front of a crowd, this symbol gains weight through reputation and trust. Companions close at hand can feel overlooked while attention rests on far ground; a plain note that you value them keeps the nearby warm.
Misuse to avoid
A verdict that your real life lies elsewhere, so that present commitments become disposable, is a misreading of the wings. The image pictures reach and sustained effort; nothing in it argues against staying and finishing.
Reality check
Treat the traditional symbolism as a hypothesis to test: pick one familiar situation and try the smallest action.
