What this combination gives you

What Chinese vs Western astrology comparison actually compares
This page does not average the conclusions of BaZi, Zi Wei Dou Shu and Western astrology. It puts the same birth moment through all three systems and asks what each one is actually looking at. BaZi reads the rise and fall of the five elements across luck cycles. Zi Wei Dou Shu reads the twelve palaces, the stars inside them and the four transformations. Western astrology reads the birth chart — planets, houses and aspects along the ecliptic. All three look at one life, but through different lenses.
The value of a fused reading is not deciding which system is right. It is seeing who covers what. Some questions produce agreement across all three, and that is worth noticing. Others split two against one, which usually means the question itself has two layers. For compatibility and timing this matters most: a marriage question is not answered by synastry alone, because BaZi marriage compatibility and Zi Wei Dou Shu synastry may point the same way or flag a different layer. A timing question is not answered by one lucky date, because the da-yun, da-xian and transits only converge at certain windows.

BaZi uses da-yun and annual luck, Zi Wei uses da-xian and annual flow, and astrology uses transits and progressions. Laid side by side, you can see which windows all three mention and which only one system speaks to.
